Who is organizing the event?
• An officially, non-official small team of retired Marriott GMs. This event is not affiliated with Marriott International. It is also the FINAL reunion (at least for the team that has been organizing these events).
Who is invited to attend?
• Former Full-service General Managers, Regional Team/Senior Corp. Staff who are retired from Marriott.
What are the dates and where?
• October 15-16, 2027 (Friday and Saturday) at the Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk,
Chicago, IL
When will registration be available?
• An event website along with registration will be available in November of 2026 (one year out).
What are the events and activities?
• The entire reunion is dedicated to socializing and reconnecting with former colleagues. Therefore, there are only two planned receptions – one Friday evening and one Saturday evening.
Can I bring a guest?
• Yes! Spouses, significant others, your best friend, etc., are most welcome to attend.
What will it cost to attend?
• A discounted room rate has been negotiated with the hotel and will be published and available in November 2026 when registration opens. A link to book directly with the hotel will be provided.
• A separate “package” for the two events will also be negotiated and will be available for purchase through the event website in November 2026.
Will the special room rate be available outside of the event dates?
• Yes, the negotiated rate will be available Thursday October 14 through Sunday night October 17. However, the number of shoulder night rooms may be limited based on hotel occupancy, so it will be best to book early.
Will the event reception tickets be based on two-night attendance?
• Yes. This is to meet the hotel Food & Beverage minimums for hosting the event.
Can I attend only one night?
• Yes, but you still need to purchase the two-event package.
Can I do anything to help with the reunion?
• YES! First, mark your calendar NOW. Tell family and friends about the reunion dates so competing events are not scheduled.
• Second, send names and email addresses to the reunion email address of other colleagues (former full-service General Managers, Regional Team/Senior Corp. Staff who are retired from Marriott) that might be interested in attending.
